About the event

The Second International Congress on Early Childhood Education and Second Congress of University Child Care Centers of Latin America and the Caribbean (CONEINF-CONCUNI) will take place on September 11, 12 and 13, 2018 at the Labor Relations Auditorium of the General Direction of Personnel of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City.

 

The acronym CONEINF-CONCUNI are formed from the name of the event in Portuguese: “Congresso Internacional de Educação Infantil - Congresso de Creches Universitárias da America Latina e Caribe”, whose first edition took place from August 23 to 26, 2016 at the Campinas State University (UNICAMP) in Brasil.

 

The event emerged with the purpose of fostering the discussion amongst academics, researchers, leaders and parents on the topic of early childhood education and the challenges faced in day care centers that are located within universities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

In the current edition will address the subjects of early childhood education and day care centers in universities, around the following core topics:

 

TOPIC 1. Policies for early childhood education and university childcare centers.

TOPIC 2. Educational approaches, models and materials for early childhood education.

TOPIC 3. University childcare centers and Pre-school: current situation, challenges and perspectives.

TOPIC 4. Early childhood education and differences.

TOPIC 5. Training and work hours of early childhood education professionals.

TOPIC 6.  A quality early education for all children, in interface with universities.

TOPIC 7. Art, culture and different languages in the education of children.

TOPIC 8. The formation of values and subjectivities in the education of children.

TOPIC 9. The development of motor skills.

TOPIC 10. Language teaching in children education.

 

The call for submissions ended on July 27, 2018.
